Make the phone number impossible to miss
Put your number at the top of every page, make it a tap-to-call link on phones, and repeat it at the end of each page. Most home service customers want to talk to someone.
Say what you do in the first screen
A visitor should know your trade, your area, and what to do next without scrolling. "Roofing in Metairie and Jefferson Parish" beats a vague slogan.
Keep the form short
Ask for a name, a phone number, and a short description of the job. Every extra field is another reason to leave. A job-type field is useful because it helps you respond well.
Show proof
- Real photos of your own work
- Reviews you are allowed to show
- Your license or registration number where one applies
- Insurance information
Load fast on a phone
Many customers visit from a phone, often in a hurry. Large images, slow plug-ins, and pop-ups get in the way.
Reply quickly
A website that generates a request is only half the job. A quick reply, ideally the same day, decides who gets the work.
Measure it
Count calls and form requests, not just visits. Our Growth package includes call and form tracking, and Standard includes Google Analytics. Improvements are not guaranteed, but you cannot improve what you do not measure.
